New Year's Eve Swimming
Crazy and yet already traditional - one thing is clear to many of the spectators at the New Year's Eve Swimming : everyone who takes part must bring along a large portion of craziness to jump into the ice-cold Lake Achensee at a water temperature of four degrees and then swim 50 meters.
For many people, New Year's Eve is not just because The celebrations at the turn of the year are marked in red on the calendar. Rather, the New Year's Eve swimming at Lake Achensee attracts onlookers and daring swimmers every year. They all follow the motto “feel the frost!” and take this invitation literally.

3-Valley-Run
The Achensee cross-country skiing region offers the 3-Valley-Run, a cross-country skiing race in untouched, beautiful nature. The racing trails run through the three valleys of the Karwendel Nature Park - a top-class cross-country skiing event. Every year in February, skaters and classic cross-country skiers say once again “Off to the three Karwendel valleys”.
There are great prizes to be won for all participants and the entry fee includes a great service package: finisher medal, food at the refreshment stations, meal voucher for the Langlaufstüberl Pertisau, free parking, attractive surprise gift and much more.
